Concentrated Solar Power technology isn't new. But its time has come. Already, in Seville – home of Europe 's first commercial CSP plant – we have proof that the sun's energy can supply homes and businesses with all the power they need… pollution free. And this is just the start of the CSP revolution

The major stumbling block, of course, is cost. The current price of power derived from CSP is about $50 per barrel of oil equivalent for the cost of building a plant.

But that's changing, too.

In fact, the world leaders in CSP predict a sharp fall – to as low as $20 equivalent – that will secure the financial support and commercialisation that is required to turn CSP into an everyday reality for millions in Europe – and beyond.

The next five years are business-critical for profitable CSP. Month by month, the industry is making giant strides, with R&D continually developing components and techniques that drive superior performance and more rapid Return on Investment.
