“Who's Got The Power?"
Healing The Earth With Solar Energy
As the price of oil continues to spiral upward, the pressures that are causing political instability continue to increase throughout most of the world.
The affects of Global Warming are accelerating rapidly. The massive ice reductions in the artic and the disappearance of the world's great glaciers are cause for alarm. The increase in erratic and unpredictable weather patterns around the world are now commonplace and becoming more dangerous.
The very existence of all life on earth as we know it is in jeopardy. The overwhelming denial from governments, the fossil fuel industry and their mega-profiting regimes around the globe, are quickly driving the world beyond chaos. It seems as if a state of "endless war" is upon us.
However, there is a way to stop the maddening erosion of our environment. We have it in within our power and are really at the dawn of a new era. It's the new age, the post fossil fuel era with clean, free, and unlimited power of solar energy.
As attendees of the Concentrated Solar Power Summit, in San Francisco, Ca. on January 28 th & 29th 2008, you will have the opportunity to view a screening of the documentary "Who's Got The Power?" produced by Global Possibilities, a Los Angeles based environmental non-profit dedicated to promoting the use of solar and renewable energy to mitigate climate change.
The film awakens the dialogue about man's engagement with earth and the impact of architecture. Using the stories of real people in their home environments, it clearly shows us how
global climate change is affecting all life on earth. You will see first hand why so many of the experts are calling this film Inspiring, moving, earth changing, an absolute must see!
Narrated by: Robert Wagner 57 minutes
The film includes factual discussions with Dr. Donald Aitken, Global Energy Policy Analyst, and Sanford Universities' Global Warming Expert, Dr. Stephen Schneider, among other notables.
It's the most comprehensive view yet of what is happening to our fragile Green World and what we can do to help get it back into balance.
The most important part of the film is that it is solution based. It clearly shows the path – utilizing solar electric power generation and other renewable energy resources which are available in abundance.
